I don’t mean to brag but I have to admit, I wasn’t far off in how he looks in the film.  His hair has a little more body to it and hist goatee is actually a beard but all in all I feel like it was pretty close.  Thor should be coming out this weekend and I encourage everyone to go see it, as I know I will!  I’ve only heard good things about it.

Today, May 11, 2011 marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of one of the worlds greatest writers, Douglas Adams.  His work influenced many and his passing came far too soon. He brought a unique sense of humor to the science fiction genre that has created a genre all it’s own. His talents were so profound and unique that he remains one of the few credited writers on Monty Python excluding the main troupe. I suspect that the novel that spawned from his imagination so many years ago as he lay in a field in Innsbruck, Austria will never be forgotten.  It is in this respect that I did this painting a few weeks ago as I was reading Hitchhiker’s Guide.
